Principe and function

Original supporting rollers are replaced by electromagnetic stirrer rollers with equal outer diameter, on the position of slab where segment sections are face to face. In-roll EMS can support slab and stir inner liquid steel.

Classification

According to different installation positions in casting machine, MES can be divided to M-EMS, S-EMS, F-EMS.
Accroding to materials to be stirrerd, EMS can be divided into ferrous metal electromagnetic stirrer(csting steel stirrer, most favorable so far), non-ferrous electromagnetic stirrer(copper, aluminum, magnesium, etc.)
Accroding to shapes of metal, MES can be divided to EMS for bloom, round and slab.
According to magnetic field, EMS can be divided to rotation magnetic field and traveling magnetic field. Rotation magnetic field EMS is mostly used for bloom and round, traveling magnetic field EMS is mostly used for slab

Advantage:

2. Heat-resistant, high strength, non-magnetic &good performance.
3. Tensile strength can reach to 1240MPa at normal temperature, it can work in high temperature environment for long time, and the tensile strength can reach to 620MPa at 650ºC.
